The BECPTA takes great pride in the projects we have performed within the community. Some of our past projects have been providing meals to the occupants of the Ronald McDonald House, collecting food for the Tarrant County Food Bank, purchasing and donating clothing and toys for needy children at Christmas, providing meals at Thanksgiving, and supporting the Benbrook Library. Two years ago, we donated school supplies to four schools who received displaced students affected by Hurricane Katrina. Each spring, the PTA helps host Kindergarten Roundup at local elementary schools. This project assists the schools on pre-registering incoming kindergarten students. We also hold annual school supply sales during August to help parents get a jump on tasks in preparation for a new school year.
